Every day, I walk in the bathroom and see this beautiful shower curtain.And then smell the strong chemical smell that hasn't abated even a little bit since I hung it up weeks ago.The exhaust fan is on high and I opened the window for a couple of days to see if that would help, but it still stinks.It didn't occur to me to wash it first, but I guess that's what I should have done.For the money, it's worth having a pretty, light-colored shower curtain, but the hassle of taking it down, washing it, and putting it back up again will really take more time and energy than I have.
Anyone else notice this horrible smell?

The picture appears to light hues of gold, beige, blue, and green.
The color of the item that arrived was dark blue, dark green, dark grey, and yellow-green.

Natural Cotton Shower Curtain
This shower liner is great. I've yet to have any water escape it. It simply becomes saturated and dries very quickly afterwards.I'm using it on its own because I first coupled it with an outside of tub shower curtain and it would stick to the liner and become saturated as well. I got the natural color, it looks great. I'm a month into using mine and there is no dirt or grime to speak of, but I will try to wash it soon. I couldn't be more happy with this product.
The Curtains actually come at 72x84 inches now. So they are way too long when you first get them, but you just run them through a hot wash and dry and they become about 72x72.
I just got them so I can't say anything about the mildew, but I think they look great (very natural) and are a great size.

Now (after several months) I'd like to say that it doesn't dry that quickly and it has some mildew.I think it would still work if you just had one person using it but even when there's just two of you it gets too wet to dry quickly.I still love the idea.

I bought this for my son's home. He just gutted and built a new bathroom from scratch. He wanted greys and yellows. This shower curtain was only one I could find that matched his wall paint color and the floor tile without being overpowering coloring. Its thin, there are no grommets on the rod hangers and I fear one washing it will be gone. I'd have sent it back, but he liked it and uses a liner so I'm hoping this lasts at least a year. Not worth the cost. Not even close.

satin nickel = silver plastic. the directions say add curtains then simply twist the rod to fit your window...not so simple. you have to have one side out to even twist the rod enough to make it extendthen you get to jam it into your windowsill and scratch the paint. you think since you had to really jam it in there, it will at least stay upnope. i have reset this rod 5 times in 3 hours and finally gave up. i grabbed the old ugly tension rod this was supposed to replace and used that tension rod to hold this rod in place. that seems to work and you can't see the old tension rodso be it.
the curtains i used i just ordered and the shipping weight was 1.2 lbs. doesn't seem like an unreasonable weight for curtains.

Peeking Monkeys Shower Curtain
I got this for my daughter's first off-campus apartment and she and her roommates love it! The main part is frosted white, and then you have these big clear circles with happy monkeys looking out. It is very cute.They are using it without a liner, and it's working fine. A liner would take half the fun out of it, anyway!

I owned a Wal-Mart "tension" shower curtain rod before investing in this product.After this lousy product fell on my head getting out of the shower one night, I made a commitment to myself to seek out the most sturdy, reliable and cost effective shower curtain rod I could find.I had to look no further than the good people at Zenith Bath Products.Zenith advertised the Builder Series Rod on Amazon.The simplicity of this product immediately grabbed my attention.The Rod bolts into your wall......Enough said.Gone are the days of inferior products from Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target, Wal-Mart or K-mart that fall out of the wall.Pass that garbage tension rod up at the store that mounts to nothing and has a spring bust in the middle of your shower falling down or more importantly on your head!Like any God loving American, I take my cleanliness seriously, so I don't need my shower time interrupted with some pathetic product that can't hold itself up falling on me and causing a slight injury.

I received my curtain in lime color, and it's just beautiful, goes perfect with my decor. But essentially it's made of thick paper, like a card stock, and tears relatively easily, so if you have any animals or little children, this would be ruined in no time. I'd recommend hanging it in a place where there isn't too much foot traffic.FOLLOW UP (April 2, 2008): OK, I've had this curtain for couple of years now. It's still gorgeous, but it's been hanging from a metal rod and by now the shape is distorted a bit, it's not straight/flat any more, it curved in places and the edges are bent up. I have no children or pets and nobody's been touching the curtain, it just took its own shape. I've tried many times to bend it back into its original straight line, but it doesn't work. The curtain is made out of tyvek, the same material some of the envelopes are made of, you know those that don't tear, usually express or larger size envelopes. I still highly recommend this!
