Pinzon Basics Mildew Resistant Shower Curtain Liner
()The claim-to-fame for this particular shower curtain is that it is made of PEVA and EVA and not PVC.**(I'll explain that in the third paragraph.)Okay, so if you gotta' use plastic, this is more environmentally friendly than a shower curtain made of PVC, and that's a good thing.But this is no super-duper shower curtain.It's as basic as they come."Leather-like hand-feel"?Really?That statement is quite a joke.Here I was, anxious for the curtain to arrive because I expected the material to feel something like a chamois.Well, no way, and that was a letdown.This curtain feels like...plastic.Yes, plastic; like the plastic you find with a good-grade plastic drop cloth.The grommets are very basic, too; not beefed up at all.One thing that I believe will be a plus:You know how crud accumulates in the seam at the bottom of a shower curtain?This curtain doesn't have a seam, just a plain cut edge.This curtain is not top of the line, but it is not the poorest quality either.It will do as a liner, which is what it claims to be.(You won't be happy if you try to use it as a stand-alone.)I give it an average, three-star rating.
**Well, maybe I'm way behind the times, but I had to look up some terminology that I didn't understand regarding this shower curtain's vinyl composition.EVA, PEVA; what's all that about?Why is EVA and PEVA more environmentally friendly than other vinyl?EVA and PEVA are vinyls that do NOT contain chlorine.(PVC has chlorine in its molecular makeup.)The short story is:Chlorine in vinyl raises environment health concerns.There is a carcinogenic chemical produced in the making of PVC--dioxin.Also, the material takes a long, long time to break down in the environment.(The long story you can look up yourself.)So, I guess, most of this I already knew about--generally. I just didn't have the skinny on the acronyms.Now we all do.
()This is a great shower curtain liner.My last one came from the 'beyond' department, and it was completely useless -it always stuck to itself, so I was constantly pulling it apart to open it back up and keep my bathroom from flooding when I shower.Needless to say, I've been in the market for a new shower curtain liner that wasn't such a constant aggravation.I've been on the lookout for a thicker shower curtain, assuming that would keep it from sticking to itself like my old cheapo one.So when I ran across this Pinzon shower curtain liner, I figured I'd give it a shot.It's actually no thicker than my old shower curtain, which had me worried, but I soon learned it's not the thickness of the shower curtain that matters, per say. What matters is it doesn't stick to itself -bingo -this Pinzon is perfect.It hangs nicely, doesn't stick to itself and is as unnoticeable and unimportant as a shower curtain liner should be -AND, it doesn't make a lot of plastic crackling noises when I slide it in and out of position -perfect.I can't ask for anything more form a shower curtain liner.This is a good one.

()My daughters are tough on shower curtains and their liners, so I took a chance and ordered this clear liner from Pinzon. It actually came out of the package much more smoothly than most of the cheapie brands I usually purchase--less permanent folds and wrinkles, not that that actually makes a lot of difference. Still, it's holding up very well so far--we've been using it for two weeks now and it's shedding water well and keeping its shape. Time will only tell if it continues to hold up, but so far, I'm loving it. For a relatively inexpensive liner, it seems to have the goods.

One of the worst curtain liners I've ever bought.This thing is so thin that even with no heat/air vent or window open & no exhaust fan running it lifts up so much that I have to use shampoo bottles to hold it down (& yes, it does have little weights at the bottom).It reminds me of the cheap plastic tarp I use for painting.The only reason I'm not returning it is because I was a fool & threw out the packaging.Save 47% Off
InterDesign Fabric Waterproof Shower Curtain Liner
We have an old bearclaw bathtub so we need two shower curtains, one for each side of the tub. We bought one Croscill Fabric Shower Curtain/Liner, and one InterDesign Fabric Waterproof Shower Curtain. They are both 100% polyester, but could not be more different. Croscill is probably twice as thick, actually feels like fabric, and has metal grommets for the shower curtain hooks. InterDesign feels almost like it's vinyl, not fabric. It feels very thin, and has reinforced seams for the holes for shower hooks. It's not waterproof the outside face is damp to the touch after we shower, whereas the Croscill one is moderately dry.Both of them are fabric, so a bit of moisture does get through. But, the amount of seepage not enough to get anything else wet unless it's actually touching the fabric. The seepage is notably greater for the InterDesign version but not a concern for us because the curtain is not touching anything. We have very low-flow shower heads, so it may be worse for others.We've had them for two months, and this one is already growing mold. The Croscill is not.We haven't tried washing them yet, but this model is clearly inferior to the Croscill.

This is a nice alternative to plastic liners, except that there really isn't any weight on the hem.The "weight" is more like a thicker strip of fabric, so it doesn't stay in place while the water's running and instead flies all over the place.Not exactly effective.Want InterDesign Fabric Waterproof Shower Curtain Liner Discount?

Wish I had looked a little closer in the pictures--there is a weird brownish olive-green stripe in the shower curtain that is not present on the rugs--you can barely see it in the picture of the curtain hanging up, but you will notice it in the other picture provided.For the price, I will keep it and it's still very bright and cheerful--just don't understand why this hideous stripe shows up on the shower curtain!!Want Casa Elite 15-Peice Bathroom Shower Set, Eclipse Discount?
I'm happy with this set, for the price. The rugs aren't very high quality and the toilet rug is a bit small for the base of my toilet, so it looks kind of odd (the other rug is smaller than I expected too). It brightens up the bathroom and will do for now.
