These curtain rods are well made and unique...a very nice change from the chain stores and at a fraction of the cost! Casual yet solidly classy--the real deal. They look better than the photographs online. I bought 8 for the outdoor curtains I am hanging on our (covered) decks and spent less than third of what I would had to pay for more typical mass-produced curtain rods from the store where I bought the curtains (a popular home decoration store you've probably wandered into and purchased from that will remain nameless). I think they will be fine outside, although they aren't advertised for this use. Important: don't be put off by the fact that screws aren't included...they will cost you a few cents at a hardware store. Color the screws in with a permanent marker to match if you need to. Note that these curtain rods come *with* the brackets! Sometimes you must order these separately at extra cost. I loved these!
UPS truck showed up less than 24 hrs after I placed my order!!! (We live on the East Coast, but still...)
One comment: I ordered several rods, and made a mistake of marking up the walls using the same hook. When I actually hung the first rod, I discovered that the hooks were all different, so the rod wasn't hanging straight. Easy to fix, but for those of you who consider buying: make sure to mark up the walls for each individual hook (should have thought of it: they ARE hand made and can't be all the same!)
Apart from a slight delay in hanging, I love them, and will order more for another room.

I hate hanging up curtains. To me, it is the worst job a woman has to do. I hate it with a passion.I expected headache and turmoil when I purchased this but it's a necessary evil if you want to keep a nice home.So, I got them to go with my wrought iron motif I have going on in my bathroom.OMG! They were so simple to put up. I almost died. All you have to do is screw in the two hooks which equates to 4 screws. And they're not difficult screws either. If you ever hung mini blinds, you know what I mean by difficult screws. Oi!
Anyway, I just screwed up the hooks and plopped the bar with the curtains on top and they look fabulous! I love them.
I plan to get more of these for other rooms. A lot more of them.
Oh, and the icing on the cake is that they're made in the USA by the Amish. How cool is that? I love Amish people. No wonder this was so simplistic.

You can't beat these curtain rods at any price, I think.The quality is excellent, and they look terrific.I bought them to use in a "Mexican ranch" themed bedroom, but they would work with many other looks--Italian, western, whatever.They are extremely sturdy, too.I have heavy vintage serapes draped over them.Would I buy them again?YES!

I first experienced this type of shower rod in a Marriot Hotel.Ever since then I have wanted one.It makes your shower feel so much more roomy but it doesn't stick out funny into your bathroom to make the rest of the room feel smaller.My husband is a regular handy man and it took him a little while to install this.If you have to mount it to tile make sure that you have the glass/tile cutting drill bit that will allow you to do this.

I love this shower curtain! I searched for a country style shower curtain in all my local stores and nothing compares to the price with the look this one has. I love it! I am NOT a fan of metal shower hooks that slide off the rod, so purchased the plastic burgundy rings here on amazon for $5 and it matches it so well! I was slightly worried that the red in the curtain might not match the red in my bathroom, but there are actually a few different shades of red/burgundy in the curtain and it blends perfectly! :) Also, we have an older house though our whole bathroom is newly remodeled and I didn't want a dark shower curtain that would make the shower a dark place; this lets plenty of light in!

This is overall a quality item. It looks great, gives plenty of extra room and is fairly well made. HOWEVER. Installation is a chore. Like other reviewers have stated, be sure you have another set of hands to help out! The rod wobbles & will twist, turn until you have it securely attached.The included hardware (6 sheetrock screws!) are really awful. Of the 6, THREE were stripped out entirely.
Since one side of the rod was being installed directly into hardwood, we had to locate some screws that would work for that.
Once it is installed, the sheetrock screws really aren't that snug, so the rod does still have some wobble on that side.
Bottom lineit's a good piece, but be sure you have extra help AND the appropriate screws before starting! If you're installing into tile, wood or anything other than sheetrock, you WILL NEED to find the right hardware.

I bought a single rod of the same brand locally, then decided I wanted to go double rod.This was the same price as the single rod at HD.Some seem to have mounting problems.I used the included hardware and it all worked just fine.It has been up about 8 months so far and still looks new.I did use the stainless ball bearing roller type rings to cut down on rod wear.I'd buy another in a heart beat.Be careful of the templates when mounting.Don't just look at the template and drill holes.Look at the template, then hold the rod up and make sure you have it correct.One hole at one side, two at the other, and you'll be ok.Templates make you want to drill one end backwards.

I install onto dry wall and was a bit more difficult then I expected. The set includes drywall insertions but I wished I placed additional support. tip: A two person job where while installing the bar itself have one person hold one end COMPLETELY flush to the wall while the other person screws in the other side. Knowing this would have saved me 30 minutes of frustration.

Be forewarned: this item is really more of a fluorescentgreen, almost fluorescent yellow.It makes the design a bit harder to take in, and sure wakes you up first thing in the morning. You'll never have trouble finding your shower again. Plus, if you cut out a hole for your head, it'll make a highly visible emergency poncho. So...two points for disaster preparedness.Another con: It's about double the thickness of a disposable plastic tablecloth. The loopholes are just thicker vinyl, so if you grab it to catch your balance it looks like it might tear. I don't generally swing from my shower curtain, but if you do, FYI, you're going to need a different curtain.
I don't think I would have bought this if I'd seen it in person, but I bought a vintage "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" poster, so I'm kind of committed at this point.

There is not much to reviewing this item.It is a shower curtain, plastic and quirky.The 2 main disappointments in purchasing this item are the following:
1) The color DOES NOT MATCH the image.While the picture presents a somewhat subdued and grassy green, the actual item is a bright fluorescent-esque green.Nearer to neon and translucent.It just appears much brighter than expected, which for some, could make no difference.For me it did.
2) Stink Bomb!Everyone mentions the smell.This is also objective and I paid little attention to the comments because I said to myself, "How bad can it be?"We've probably all gotten items from Chinese manufacturering that has an odd smell but this one is BOMB.It really made me dizzy and after deciding to let it air out on the patio instead, the smell still lingered in the bath for 30 mins even though it only spent 5 minutes in there.Do not underestimate the smell, it is potent.But I am hoping it goes away within a few days, as many reviewers have said.
Otherwise, it is a shower curtain. Cheaply made with and funny design.Quite self-explanatory.

Not only is it the aforementioned awesome and more, but I'd like to counter two points made in other reviews.
1. The smell dissipates with a little time, just like any fresh plastic needs to air out
2. Although the curtain is thin, it is actually slightly stretchy, which makes it far more durable than the much thicker, but rigid, plastic of my last curtain. It's hard to describe the plastic exactly, except that it is definitely a common marine plastic, not glossy or slippery, it's more matte and grippier.
Also, I'd just like to mention that it really lit up our small bathroom and made it feel roomier.
Definitely recommend now that I know they're durable, I'll probably buy the psycho one and switch them out with the seasons (as if psycho and 20,000 leagues somehow matches the seasons! hah!)
