I do aerobic floor exercises in the morning 3 days a week.I have a low pile carpet in the family room where I exercise.Since I do not want to wear out the carpet I needed something to protect it.At first I looked for exercise mats, but my Leslie Sansone exercise video calls for a little moving back and forth in both directions.The exercise mats were not large enough to cover the entire floor area where I exercise.I thought of the idea of using a chair mat instead because of the larger dimensions.This mat has worked out perfectly.At first I hesitated because of the seam down the middle.However it has not been a problem.If this mat were being used as a chair mat I do not think this seam would interfere with the rolling of the chair at all.The mat is perfectly flat over the seam area.It is not as thick as another chair mat I have under my office chair but I wouldn't hesitate to use this one for either floor exercises or for a chair mat. If you want to put the mat away after you exercises, it has little handles to do this.

Lace Window Film Contact Paper

We purchased this lace film to cover the glass doors in a set of wood cabinets in our informal dining area. The previous house owners used the cabinets to display a lot of their "pretties". We need the space for storage, especially items we use on a regular basis. The pattern is pleasing to the eye and somewhat formal, so keep that in mind. I wish the film with its lace print would have been a bit more opaque. The colors and general shapes of objects behind the glass can be seen although it's difficult to tell for sure what most things are. We are please with the overall looks of the final job. Applying the film was not too difficult, but take it slow and do a good job pressing it down to avoid any bubbles. I found moving slowly in one direction and using my hand to firmly apply the film worked best. I also used a squeegee after that, but I'm not sure if it helped that much. There are directions for a soap and water application that is supposed to make the process easier especially for large pieces. Also, try not to pull the film back up when doing the dry method as this sometimes will leave a semi-noticeable line in the film. And did I mention that the price was great compared to some other products out there on the market? If you are on a budget, this is a good way to go to complete a quality project. Also, delivery of the film by the supplier was fast.

My sisters old metal front door needed to be replaced, she bought a new one with glass, everyone loved the way it looked. The door opens into the living room, and made a great entrance into the house, but now there was a big problem.

The house always had plenty of light, now there was too much. All day bright light came streaming through the glass effecting my sister's eyes, and making the house hot. The door looked beautiful, but she wished she had the old door back.

I saw this product on Amazon and knew this may be the solution to the problem. The glass is at the top of the door, and if someone stood on their tiptoes, they could see in, so this may also solve that problem. I decided to surprise my sister and I made a template of the glass while she was out.

I was so excited when it arrived, but when I first saw it I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. There was no texture and it appeared to be very lightweight, also the pattern seemed very faint and much smaller than in the picture. I decided I would try it anyway as it wasn't very expensive (just over $12). I grabbed the template and took it to my sister's house.

It didn't take long to cut it out, it was nice and sticky, but easy to work with. I was able to move it a few times until I was happy with the position. There are a few tiny air bubbles, but you don't see them, because of the double panes of glass and the black lead.

My sister was thrilled when she saw it, it looks very pretty, and delicate, the pattern looks like it is in the glass. You can't see through this stuff which solved the privicy problem. There is still light, but it isn't streaming in like before and blinding everyone. I'm going to post some pictures of the inside and outside effects.

***UPDATE***

I've had it on the glass about a year, it still looks as good as the day I put it on.

I got this lace paper to cover my bathroom window by my shower. It looks gorgeous on the window and was very easy to apply. I applied it lazily, and ended up with some bubbles, but was able to push the bubbles out using a credit card. Even if there are a few bubbles, it is not noticeable. It comes with lines on the back that help with measurement and cutting straight lines. The only thing I had an issue with is that one of the edges on the roll of paper was dirtylike black. The "dirty" part only went in to the paper about 1/2cm, but was still a little frustrating. Shipping was fast. The paper does not block out light, which is goodjust gives the window a "frosted" look. I am thinking about ordering another roll of this to cover some other windows in my house.

This is not just a window "cling" but is actually adhesive, so it could be applied to anything.I did put it on a window, though.The door that leads to our sunroom is made of 18 glass panes, floor to ceiling, which unfortunately, show all of our guests how messy our sunroom can be!I didn't want to block the light that comes through the mudroom into the rest of our house by installing a regular door.I didn't want to hang curtains and chance the kids pulling them down.So, I bought this lace film to apply to the glass panes.It has a lovely, believable, lace pattern.The light still comes through, but no one can the mess hiding on the other side of the door.

It was easy to apply with a squeegie.If it stuck to itself as I clumsily put in on a pane, I was still able to separate it.It was easy to cut with the guidelines on the back.The back of the paper has guidelines every 1/2 inch, so all of my 18 rectangles were perfectly cut.It would have been nice if the instructions on the back didn't block so many of the guidelines, but I was able to manage by connecting the line on the top to the line on the bottom of the instructions.

When I took these sheets out of the package I thought for a minute that I was holding a shower curtain. Yes, they are as hard and stiff as the cloth shower curtains. I am so serious. I washed them. Wish I had looked a little closer in the pictures--there is a weird brownish olive-green stripe in the shower curtain that is not present on the rugs--you can barely see it in the picture of the curtain hanging up, but you will notice it in the other picture provided.For the price, I will keep it and it's still very bright and cheerful--just don't understand why this hideous stripe shows up on the shower curtain!!

Calcot Growers Collection 100-Percent Supima Zero-Twist Cotton 2-Piece Oversized Bath Sheet/Towel S

After a recent bathroom remodel I went on the search for the "perfect" towel. After trying several brands over the past six months, I can with absolute confidence say there is no such thing as the perfect towel. But, of all the ones I tried, the Calcot bath sheets strike the best balance between pros and cons.

Of all the brands I tried, the Pinzon (Amazon house brand) 820 Gram towels and the Restoration Hardware Egyptian cotton towels were the closest runner-ups. Both are outstanding towels, but both suffered from the same problem weight. These are some heavy towels in the bath sheet size! Weight is good when it comes to being a thirsty towel that offers a dense feel. Weight is not good when it comes to drying. On humid days the bath sheets would take more than a day to air dry after one use. Washing them was even more of a problem since they took forever to dry in the dryer. I line dry whenever I can, but unless it was hot and dry out (not all that common in VA), these took forever to dry outdoors as well. Plus, the weight when sopping wet is a real issue.

The Pinzon and the Restoration Hardware towels are excellent in hand towel size you really appreciate the benefit of a dense pile when drying your face. But as a bath sheet, they were both impractical.

The Calcot caught my eye since they are made of US-grown Supima cotton. Basically this means the cotton fibers are long which makes them soft and absorbent. This translates into a lighter-weight towel without much loss of absorbency.

NOTE: Although the cotton is grown in the US, the towels are manufactured in Pakistan.

The Calcot bath sheets are also a bit smaller they are 34 by 68. That's a few inches shorter than other bath sheets. I didn't miss the extra few inches, and the smaller size helps out with both the weight and ease of laundering.

Calcot has three product lines, with the Growers Collection (what I am reviewing) being their premium line. I did not try out their other lines, so can't say how they would perform.

These towels provide the best balance between softness, thickness, density, absorbency and weight. They dry quickly (both air dry and in the dryer) and are nice and large. Very minimal fuzz in fact, hardly any came off in the first wash, and virtually nil in subsequent washes. This is in sharp contrast to the Pinzon, which shed like mad in the first wash, and kept shedding appreciably for several more washes.

Construction quality is decent. Not as nicely stitched on the edges as the Restoration Hardware towels but they are holding up well so far.

The price sealed the deal for me. I bought these directly from Calcot on their website (google Calcot Growers). Their website is pretty basic, and not what you'd call a great example of a storefront. But, the prices are much better (at least when I ordered) than Amazon or anyone else, and they offer the ability to buy either a la carte or as a pre-set bundle. I was able to get two bath sheets in their Growers Collection line for less than the cost of one bath sheet from Restoration Hardware. They shipped the same day as I ordered. They did not, however, respond to an email I sent with a question about the order (not a big problem since I found the answer myself later). So, while they score high for quick shipping and great prices, not so good when it comes to customer assistance.

I can't give any feedback on color fastness for any of the towels I tried since I only bought them in white.

Final tips: make sure you never, ever use fabric softener in the wash or dryer with any cotton towel. It really kills the absorbency. Every so often, add a half cup of vinegar to the wash. Helps keep the towels thirsty and soft. Lastly, wash the towel before using it the first time.

Hope this helps with others wresting with what towels to get.

After spending an afternoon driving around to the various home goods stores, I checked Amazon and found a review that praised these towelsand suggested I buy them direct from Calcot off their web site. I did so, and about five days later they arrived. They looked a bit linty and had a slight odor out of the box, but after a trip through the washer and drier they were odor and lint free, and felt wonderful. You can spend a lot more on towels, but these are nice nice as any I've found around town. They're very absorbent, and thick, but not so thick that they won't dry out. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Unfortunately, we were trying to match a color in the newly applied bath wallpaper and the color just did not work. I e-Mailed Heather at Calcot to return the package, NO problem..she set up a UPS pick-up order, and 6 days later she emailed me that the towels were received and the complete charge had been credited to my credit card account!! I usually don't review products but have to concur with some of the other posters here.I purchased these as a gift for my husband and after using them he asked me to give them a trial as he needed a second opinion.He said he wondered if he was imagining it, but the towels had a strange quality that seemed to 'repel the water right back onto your body'.I did use the towel to see what he was talking about.Before they were wet they felt really luxurious and you would suppose that your experience would be excellent.But the towels did, in fact, have a slimy feel to them when you tried to wick water off yourself.Most unpleasant.

Overall I have to say these were an epic fail as a gift.We're going to re-gift them to our dogs as soft pet beds so all is not lost.

Muchto my disappointment, these are much flimsier and thinner than the previous ones.When I inquired (thinking I inadvertently might have ordered the wrong type), the company rep explained that their supplier used higher quality raw materials (that exceeded the stated weight) initially, and now the towels are thinner due to higher production costs.I guess if you never saw or felt the other ones it might notbother you ... but these are so much less substantial than theolder bath sheets (even after many washings) it's disappointing. On the plus side, they take much less shelf space, as they are abouthalf as thick, and theymay dry faster. I haven't washed them yet, so I can't comment on the absorption difference. I will update this review once I start using the towels.

I ordered this to be actual curtains, not a shower curtain.The pattern looks like it does in the image so I am very happy with than.The fabric is shinier than I expected, but it doesn't look like plastic.The back of it looked a little dirty in one corner.All in all, this was pretty cheap and I would buy it again.

I like the pattern, but the fabric is a bit thin. My new kitten has pretty much shredded it, but under normal wear and tear I'm sure it would have lasted a lot longer.

The picture I see here and on the package shows an item with a lot of light grey or white with some black and muted gold. The real item is a medium grey with lots of black and a poop brown. It's just too dark for our small bathroom and doesn't have the yellow tone I expected.

I didn't completely unfold it because it will be promptly returned due to the color variations, but I did note that the stitching looks a little careless so it's definitely cheap-looking up close.

On the up side, because I have Prime, I had my item about about 32 hours after I ordered it and I can easily send it back. :)

A very basic, classic look. Nothing fancy but just enough detail to make it a good design choice.The only thing I would have preferred is if the white fabric was not ribbed.Note also that the white is a very bright white, which I like, but may not be everyone's taste.

This would look nice on a large window or french door as well in the bathroom. Crisp pleats let it hang just right and the quality is quite visible.

Previous review was correct in that the width would be too short for an average tub. We have a narrow shower and the width is perfect. This works beautifully for us.

This curtain's fabric is a nice narrow pinstripe weave for texture with a very light sheen (not shiny, not entirely matte).The black border is sewn on rather than printed, and it's a nice weight so it hangs well.

The fabric unwrinkles after 5 minutes in the dryer with a damp rag to add a bit of steam, then it's ready to hang.
