I was looking for a heavy duty shower rod that would hold the weight of an average-size adult who might pull on a shower curtain if they stumbled in the shower. I knew a tension rod wouldn't cut it so I found this rod.I now have confidence that if someone stumbles and pulls on the shower curtain that the curtain and the person might fall but insult won't be added to injury by having the rod fall on top of the fallen!I only wish the stainless wasn't shiny so it would have matched my brushed nickel fixtures more closely but in honesty it doesn't show too much once the curtain is installed on it.Good product!
