Veratex Hike Up Your Skirt Ruffled Faux Silk Bedskirt

This faux silk bedskirt looks great on my canopy bed, and the material came in a relatively unwrinkled state so it did not require steaming. The color is just as it looks on the website.

It was fairly easy to install, though I'd say the jury's out on whether it saves any time or labor over a conventional bedskirt as it comes in three pieces and has to be screwed to the box spring.

All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase.However I DO NOT RECOMMEND the Hike-Up-Your-Skirt bedskirts for households with young children. The twisted screws that are used to hold the bedskirt on are right at curious-toddler height and would be very dangerous if ingested. I hope the company will change its packaging to alert parents of toddlers to the potential danger.

Update to my review the skirt still looks great but twice now the screws holding the skirt on have backed out of the mattress and fallen to the ground. I almost stepped on one. Ever heard of Velcro strips folks?

This bed skirt is very good-looking and was a breeze to put on. I just pinned it over my old bed skirt that was too short, never having to lift the mattress. Comes in three parts, very easy to iron. I have had it on our bed for about two weeks and it has stayed put through bed makings and linen changes. Buy with confidence!

..but didn't realize it was with hooks and only side skirt...

I was looking for the old traditional one...which is full cover with the white sheet..

I kept the item because taking off the mattress is such an effort, but I made the mistake of washing this item before using it and am so disappointed---it's limp and more a lightweight faux cotton than a faux silk---not worth even half the cost.
