Previous rods always had a problem with rust.This item is stainless steel and will not rust.Installation was easy without any type of modification needed.The extra room from the 9 inch curve is much nicer that the usual 6 inch curve of other bars.The bar was also much heavier made than the other brands.Price here at Amazon was comparable to the lighter, cheaper brands sold at the large box stores.Great product.

Renovating main bath of our home and wanted to update shower curtain rod to a similar one the I've used in hotels while I travel for work. I did quite a bit of research in to them and this appeared to be the strongest design connecting to both top and bottom of bar. After purchasing it and receiving it I am so glad I purchased this one. Installed fairly easily and is quite strong; rock solid to be more accurate. I installed it by myself and found it quite easy using only a cordless drill, level, screwdriver, tape measure, hex wrench, pencil and a little locktight. I used the locktight only so that the hardware would never loosen up; yes I over think things. I recommend it to anyone that want the room of a curved shower rod.

Let's just get down to the short and curlies of this shower rod...It's perfect. No need to cut (shorten), went up in a matter of minutes, and I can nearly do a pull-up on this baby! Well ok,not really a pull-up, but this rod will definitely hold (along with a shower curtain and inside curtain protector) five pair of the wife's wet work pants and two or three of her work shirts without even bowing. The WingIts are really bad a$$! They are the best designed wall anchors I have ever used. All in all 5 stars across the board. Don't even hesitate or waste anymore time scratching your head..This is the one. Honestly, one and done with this baby.

I replaced another curved shower rod with this one.My old one (bought from BB&B)was drooping badly mostly because of the way the brackets are engineered.The Winglts brackets seem much more sturdy and hopefully will last.The addition of the special mounting brackets was nice.I didn't use the mounting because I had a stud on each side of the shower where the brackets attached to the wall (these were for sheetrock or into tile with no studs behind wall) but they look like they would definitely do the job.
