After trying many cotton duck shower curtains, some of them more than twice as expensive, we landed in desperation on these commercial versions. They have a coating that's invisible for practical purposes -no sheen, no weird rubberiness, no smell -but keeps water beading off, and most importantly, KEEPS MOLD FROM GROWING.

I wish there were a pure cotton curtain that didn't grow mold, but even with the best of care, regular washing and ventilation they always turned spotty and black within weeks.So this product here is a compromise between completely chemical-free cotton and scary stinky vinyl. Made in China, also not a huge plus. But we've stocked up since this is the best we can find until some kind of eco-positive natural shower curtains are invented.

The usual vinyl curtains mold after a couple weeks, can't wash them because they fall apart. This is the answer since I can wash it.
