This is an excellent price for this item. The description doesn't say it, but yes, this is a tension rod, made of metal, NOT plastic with a metallic coating. It works well and holds fast.

Exactly as described, and does what it's supposed to do. Adjusts easily to required length, and the chrome finish looks nice. Even with the cost of shipping, it was cheaper than any other alternatives (a little less than $10 in total). The only drawback was the shipping time (took over a week), but I was in no hurry, so overall very happy with the purchase.

Well after reading the 2nd revue I bought this expecting it to ADJUST. It does not! or at least the one I received doesn't. Aside from that it is a very good price for a fixed length rod.
