These rings do the job, and I'm sure they won't rust like the cheap metal hooks they're replacing. However, they're rigid and hard to work with. You need strong hands and patience to get them to open enough to use them. And they bite, so be prepared for a few nicks on your fingers. I was also afraid they might break while I was fighting with them. I dread having to go through this process again when it's time to wash the curtain! You may want to spend a few dollars more for better-quality rings that are easier to use.

These are pretty cheap and so you get what you pay for.They are great for a one-time use (i.e. you're not moving the shower curtain to a new location) but when you remove them, they have a tendency to break.
