I purchased this item because Debra Lynn Dadd recommended using a nylon shower liner rather than the typical PVC type.Nylon does not outgass toxic fumes, and it is also naturally mold and mildew resistant.I simply toss it into the washer once every week or two.I can wash it using the Sanitary feature of my washer without using bleach, or wash it with a normal cycle WITH bleach.BTW, it does hold up nicely after multiple bleachings.

Let me be clear that that the only item that I use in the shower is this curtain liner, I don't add a curtain to it.And I had absolutely no problem with water going through as I place the bottom of the liner in the inside of the tub area of the shower.While water splashes on the liner, I don't point the shower head on the liner so I can't speak to what would happen if one were to do that

I purchased a stockpile of these curtains because now the company has decided to add a mold/mildewcide and I am not comfortable with that.

I am reviewing the Carnation Home Fashions Nylon Fabric Shower Curtain Liner 70 in x 72 in Ivory model #SC-NYL/08.

This shower curtain liner is nice looking and well constructed but it is NOT a water barrier for your shower. Each time I use it my bathroom is flooded as water passes right through. It would work for a nice white outer curtain but is USELESS as a liner. Going back today.

Just what I was looking for in a shower curtain liner. I like the feel of the material and it does a great job of keeping shower spray in the tub. I haved washed it a couple of times in the washer . I rubbed liquid laundry soap on bottom seam where there was some mold and it came out looking great. I was looking for a non-plastic / cotton shower liner and this meets the bill.
