This curved shower rod installed easily as a replacement for an old, straight rod.Unlike some one-piece curved rods, adjusting the length of this rod to the shower walls was easy as it is made up of two sections where one slides tightly into the other, so you can install this in just about any standard bathtub/shower with absolutely no cutting. The rod itself is of high quality with a bright chrome finish and it looks great. The mounting hardware is also well made and its designed for easy installation and adjustment.High quality metal (not plastic) matching chrome end covers install easily, look great and completely hide the screws and mounting hardware.

To make it easier to install the rod by myself, I took two retired tube socks and taped one to each wall with with masking tape to make two "U" shaped sock harnesses so that the bottom of each "U" fell just above the level of the holes for the mounting the shower rod (just above the holes because the socks will stretch when weight is applied). Then I placed the assembled shower rod into my two homemade sock harnesses, adjusted the socks/masking tape on both sides to line the rod up more closely with the mounting holes and screwed them in.Once the screws were fully tightened, I took the socks down, snapped the end covers into place and Viola!A new curved shower rod mounted in about 30 minutes with no assistance and no issues!

The results were very pleasing. The curved rod definitely adds a bit of extra elbow room to the shower, it looks great from both inside the shower and out and it was quick and very easy to install. Its a classy and useful upgrade that I easily recommend.

I like the appearance of this rod, but the drywall anchors included are very poor quality.Throw them in the trash and buy some good ones.If you are mounting into studs you will need wood screws which are not included.

This Old World Bronze color is a perfect match with my Moen Oil Rubbed Bronze fixtures. It feels sturdy and my contractor also had no problems installing it.Since it is an adjustable rod, there is a rubber/plastic ring that tries to cover the seam in the rod. However, this ring is not flush with the rest of the rod and thus causes a catch in the shower curtain rings whenever we open/close the curtain.Had I known about this issue, I would have bought a non-adjustable rod to avoid the seam.

My shower is under a roof line next to a dormer window. One wall that I needed to attach the rod to is at 90 degrees from the other wall. The fact that this item allowed that configuration is why I purchased it.Only one drawback is that at the angle, I cannot use one of the plate covers. Not a huge deal, just cosmetic, but I'm still trying to figure our if I can somehow cut the cover to make it work.Otherwise, great product.

My wife and I are finishing a complete bathroom remodel and in the final stages of selecting the shower rod, towel holder, and toilet paper holder. We looked at a number of shower rods and selected the brushed-nickel version of this Moen rod due to its curved style. It was a nice change from the standard straight shower rods you see everywhere else.

Moen does a nice job to help make installation as easy as possible. The instructions contain a mounting template for each end of the shower rod.If the wall has studs, on the template they show you where to drive your wood screws. If you're mounting to drywall with no stud underneath, they show you where to drill the hole for the wall anchors. They provide six wall anchors (three per side), but, strangely, they don't provide the wood screws. This confused me, but it wasn't a show stopper.Just be aware that, if you will be installing this into studs, you'll have to supply your own screws.

Installation was fairly simple and is best done by two people--one to do the drilling/screwing and the other to hold the rod.The rod swings widely on its plastic mounts, so you can separate both ends and piece them together, if you decide to separate them and mount one side first, then the other. This allows for an easier install rather than someone holding the entire rod while the first side is being mounted. When mounting is complete, the end caps snap over the mounting plate to provide a clean and very professional finish.

Overall we're very pleased with this product.Moen has a reputation for making quality products and this shower rod is no exception. Our bathroom remodel found us selecting Moen products for the shower, sink, and shower rod, and we couldn't be happier with how this rod perfectly matches up with all the other Moen fixtures in our bathroom.
