The ends that attach to the walls are very heavy and well made. You mount a plate to the wall with two screws or the provided hollow wall fasteners. That plate is covered by a heavy trim plate secured by one hex screw. The part of the mount that the bar slides into has internal o-ring and threads onto the trim plate. Excellent design. The rod is nickel finish on solid brass with no seams length wise. The only negative is that the rod is two three foot sections that slide together over slightly smaller diameter internal brass rod which is six inches long. This causes the rod to be less ridged and loose enough that you can make it rattle. No doubt I have voided the warranty but I cleaned any oils from inside of the tubes where they join each other. I put Attwood marine polyurethane sealant quick cure 7200 inside of where the rod slides together and outside of the part that slides inside. Wiped off excess, let cure 48 hrs. and no more loose rattle.Save 37% Off
The shower rod looks great.Its Solid and well finished.My contractor installed it so I don't have any comments on the installation, but it looked straight forward.Complemented the Moen Kingsley series pretty well.As usual, Amazon order handling and shipping was flawless.
