Sea Life Hand-Painted Resin Tropical Fish Shower Curtain Hooks

Real looking fish.....they are great but do not slide on pole as well as other shower curtain hooks I've had.

My mother bought the same hooks for my bathroom when we first moved into our house about 12 years ago. I'm 21 now, and nothing's changed: I still prefer these, and I'm tickled that similar ones still exist so I can buy some spares. The shape of the fish is exactly the same, but I see two new color varieties that weren't there before.

The pros: Colorful, adorable fish hooks. I think they slide fine. They are more special looking than any of the other hooks that are for sale, and it's nice that there are cute motifs available in brass instead of everything being chrome or brushed metal.

Cons: DO NOT slide your curtain open or closed super-fast; just gently open or close it, because if the hook(s) hit the middle of the rod (normally where one side overlaps the other, creating a bump of sorts) it has a chance to fall off the rod and possibly unhook from the curtain...and if these hit the ground, they are 90% likely to chip, which ruins their appearance. They're resin, which is brittle, so just know that. That's what happened to 4 of my hooks, but that was over the course of 12 years, as well, which isn't too bad. At least I know what NOT to do next time!

Also, I don't think their price really bespeaks of their quality; throwing lots of money at an item doesn't guarantee its soundness, either.

Manufacturing quality was not good.The rings/hooks for the

shower certain rod varied significantly in size, and some

wouldn't fit without bending.Color scheme repeats about

every 4.But perhaps that's what you get for the price ...

I like to decorate my place in a tropical fashion so these fish hooks were a must. They are beautiful and reasonably priced. I recommend them with a caveat. For some reason some of the hooks are very fragile and break easy. For this reason I ordered two extra boxes. For the last six months none of the hooks have broken, although I lost three over a short period of time two years ago. In any event, they are a must for fish lovers, and worth a try in my opinion. Handle with care!
