This curtain is more translucent than I had expected, but it did say translucent and still looks great. It is that soft kind of plastic that is thin and almost...satiny? but not too thin/cheap to be nice. I really like the look and feel of this curtain. For the first day or two it does outgas a plastic smell a bit, but not as bad as some I have tried. All in all quite happy.

Our bathroom's exterior window is in the shower so I like sheer or very translucent shower curtains. This one is perfect.. enough light gets through to not need to put the light on during the day. It is a beautiful subtle design that matches my green walls perfectly. I bought a liner so it is staying nice and clean and straight. Like all vinyl curtains it smelled strong out of the package, but faded fast.
Didn't pay attention that it is a vinyl shower curtain. I did return this item. Didn't like it when it came.
