Veratex Alamosa 4-Piece Comforter Set

This comforter set is beautiful and heavy.Also a great price...almost half of what I would have paid at the nice department store in town.Big enough to cover my Sleep Numbers king mattress.

I saw this displayed in Dillard's and it was beautiful.A MUCH better bargain than in the department store.The color is as displayed and with our gray bedroom walls it is exactly what I wanted.The comforter is heavy and rich looking.The only thing I don't like is that the comforter needs more tacking to prevent slipping of the filling however more tucks would not give the covering the smooth look it has now.A little shake of the material seems to smooth things out.I am very happy with this comforter set!

So to start, this fabric is beautiful and just what I was looking for and that's what gets it even 2 stars.I've had it for 3 months now though and I've discovered a few things.First, the batting inside the comforter is not secured in other than a very few areas where it is stitched in place.After using this on the bed for only this short period of time, it's become impossible to flatten out the comforter on the bed.The batting balls/clumps up and there is just no way topull it flat.The overall fabric is not cut straight, so if it's level on one side, it's crooked on the other.

Love the fabric, hate the lumpy batting.I'm very disappointed that this only took 3 months to happen and even more so that it didn't happen in the 30-day return window.Would love a quality replacement Veratex!

Looks nice but has a petroleum smell. I believe it is the stuffing. I'm returning it due to this issue.
