Aquatico Ivy Shower Curtain Tension Rod, Oil Rubbed Bronze
This isn't as dark as TRUE oil-rubbed bronze (what is? we've looked everywhere and ordered several). Oil-rubbed bronze is black like iron but has a hint here or there of color. This is more like a dark bronze in other words more reddish brown(unlike the photo). This is the darkest bronze rod we've found after going to all the stores and ordering several online. And it's still dark enough, though, to work w/ our bathroom hardware and not be too glaringly different, not to mention it's up and away from our hardware. It's high quality. I bought it w/ the Aquatico Disc Set of 12 Shower Curtain Hooks, Oil Rubbed Bronze.
My wife and I liked the rod. We have a shower that was built kinda screwy and is 72" instead of the standard 70". So we have a hard time getting rods to fit tight because the rods usually have a maximum of 72" which puts it right there at the max. This one stays in good though.

It was damaged in shipping though. I am not sure if it was excessive beating by UPS or what but booth decorative knob ends had chips knocked out of them. And the design on the knobs appears to be a ? I am not sure what material but it would chip or break easily if it came falling out of the shower and hit the tile. I did not return ours as it was chipped on both ends on the same side so I just put it in with that side up

As was the case with another reviewer, my curtain rod also arrived chipped (small chip on the decorative end piece). Had I not read the other review, I would have simply exchanged the curtain rod for a new one, since it was actually very attractive. One chipped curtain rod may be a rare exception; however, two chipped rods begins to concern me, so I returned it. My curtain rod was poorly wrapped in the outer box, but very secure in its original box.Even with some bumping in transit, I wouldn't expect a strong material to chip, so I suspect that these end pieces are prone to this type of damage. What happens if I ever inadvertently drop the curtain rod? As attractive as this curtain rod may be, I had to give it a maximum of three stars due to this chipping problem. I used Bissell Daily Shower Spray for a couple of years. It worked great. I came across the Tilex brand and thought it must be better. After a couple of weeks, it left a residue on the shower door (glass) and glass window that I cannot get off. I have tried: Vinegar, Alcohol, Lemon Oil, Lemon Juice & baking soda paste, Tilex Mold & Mildew, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Lime-A-Way, Quick N Brite, Comet Cleanser, Ship Shape, Shout, Cascade powder, and Goo Gone. Nothing works. I have sent a request to the company, so we'll see. I'll never use this product again.
I hate cleaning the shower/tub.
Meh, out of all the household chores this one ranks as one of my least favorite.
Enter.......the daily shower spray.
As long as you use it after each shower you won't have to scrub for ten hours (exaggeration) just to get the shower clean.
I usually use baking soda on the bottom of the tub as that works better than any spray I've ever used in getting the crud off the bottom of the tub.
Shower spray.
Effective.
Not too expensive.
Recommended.

Do not use Tilex on glass shower enclosures.We put in a new shower and after two years, our glass shower surround and door are permanently etched.Tilex was highly recommended by a friend (who does not have any glass in their shower).It apparently works great on tile and tubs.I religiously used Arm & Hammer's shower spray,but when Tilex had a nice sale, I decided to give it a try.I preferred the finer mist of the Tilex spray bottle, so I decided to permanently switch.Two months later my glass shower doors were destroyed.They were permanently etched by this product.I notified Tilex of the problem and they were unwilling to even consider that Tilex could have caused this.I guarantee you, Tilex caused this problem.I have used Arm & Hammer's shower spray for years without incident.Stay away from this product at all costs.This product will cost me well over $1,000 for new shower doors.2 of the 13 reviews (myself included) have shower doors that have been destroyed by this product. Do the math.You have a 15% chance of this product costing you hundreds if not thousands of dollars to replace your shower doors.So I guess you'll have to ask yourself one question...do I feel lucky?

After many years of using Arm and Hammer, we switched to TILEX (listening to commercials). what a mistake.
Within a year all sides of the glass shower have been etched.TILEX said "use Soft Scrub" but this did not bring back the glass.
A review of many web comments show me that this product has a definite liability to it that TILEX will not own up to.
It has an acid component of some kind and has attacked our shower doors and glass panels.In a sadistic way, the etching has provided a form
of modesty veil to keep my wife from seeing how gravity has attacked my body.But I would have preferred not to have the nice shower glass so attacked.
This is not a problem for the faint of heart!

Just received these today and they are absolutely gorgeous. I got these to go with the NoJo Emily bedding theme for a little girl. These were bought to hold back some brown sheer curtains that I made to hang behind the valances. They match well and do exactly what I need them to! I was worried about their ability to actually hold back the curtain (since there is no current way of affixing it to the wall like a regular metal tieback) but they do a nice job. I was able to tie them off in the middle or off to the side so the curtain can hang either way. In buying my first house I found that my shower didn't have a rod or a curtain, so I couldn't wait to try out a curved shower rod.I had seen them many times before, there are many companies selling them now, and I thought they made so much sense.
The only 2 down falls with this product (that I've found so far) are:
1. The rod is a little loose in the fixtures that mount to the walls.
2. The packaging could have been a little more substantial.Having said this, the product arrived in perfect condition.
I've only bought this one curved rod so I can't compare it to others, but I'd recommend it, I've had no problems with it and it makes my shower feel much roomier than it really is.
I'd highly recommend one of these to anyone whose shower uses a curtain!It was one of the cheapest and most fulfilling purchases I've made for my new house.

I have an original Crescent Rod I bought at B,B & Beyond a few years back, which is sturdy and works great. This one, even though it came in a Moen package, is very light weight and has very lightweight, plastic mounting brackets, not the heavier-duty metal ones I got with my old one.I can't see this thing supporting a curtain and liner without problems, so I'm sending it back.Just too flimsy to have any confidence in.I had previously purchased a Crescent (brand) curved shower rod from another source, but they no longer carried them when I needed another one.I ordered this one as it is indicated as a "Crescent" shower rod.What was sent was an unbranded, curved shower rod, and of what appears to be of comparable quality, but it is not the same (mounting brackets are different).I did not want to go through the hassle of returning it and trying to find another source, so I have kept it.Just be aware that this is not the Crescent brand shower rod.
