This is the only shower curtain I've found that really works to keep the water in the shower and is completely natural and biodegradable. The only issue I've had is that it tends to get mildew. I recommend buying a natural mildew spray to spray on daily. Follow the instructions to wash the curtain weekly and use an oxygen cleaner and white vinegar every wash. If you do get mildew stains, try mixing equal parts oxygen cleaner and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl and rubbing this in to the stain with an old toothbrush. Spraying on lemon juice can also help.

I was excited to get this shower curtain, but it started to mold and mildew right away. Despite washing it regularly, the mold wouldn't go away -and the bathroom started to smell disgusting whenever any one took a shower. I had to throw it out after a few months. I wouldn't recommend getting this.

I bought two of these hemp shower curtains because I loved the look of the fabric,that they were made organically andthe idea of not having to use a plastic liner.After about three months I began to see mold growing along the lower sections of the curtains.I immediately treated them with vinegar, lemon juice, oxy-clean every remedy I could find on the internet, and the mold dissipated, but then came back with a vengeance.I sprayed them after every shower with vinegar and water, I opened the window, I wrung out the water with each use, but the mold returned.

I spent over $200 on these shower curtains, but unfortunately the mold issue was too much to handle.I contacted the company, but never received any reply.Sadly, I will be looking for another shower curtain alternative...

This curtain does the job -keeps water contained in the shower/tub, and dries quickly, without any off-gassing or odors you might find with a plastic/vinyl curtain.

But as another reviewer said, it does develop black mildew spots on the bottom over time. Also, when it's dry, the edges roll up a bit. But as soon as you turn on the shower, the edges smooth out and create a good seal. Good curtain overall.

My family has been using this in our only bathroom (read: lots of use) for a couple of years now. Yes, I did have a mildew issue at first, but since I've been washing it weekly, and clipping it to the walls after each use (so air circulates completely around it, and it is able to dry in a few hours), I have not seen any mildew. The original mildew stains washed out eventually, especially when I was able to dry it in the sun.

But the curtain is great. No billowing when using the full-force Oxygenics shower head. It stays in place and keeps the water inside the tub. When this one wears out, I plan to get another one.
