Have been buying this curtain or one of its close variants from Ex-Cell for several years, and it's great.Completely clear vinyl without a color tint, and it's a heavy enough material that the bottom of the curtain doesn't get lifted up by air pressure and attack your legs while showering.

Another reviewer says "Not anti-mildew as stated", but the story there seems to be a bit more complex: the packaging says "Treated With Anti-Bacterial Agent / Resists Germs, Mold & Mildew".I have not had a problem with mildew on these -they just get a mineral deposit haze, and if you use a chlorine filter on your shower, a little bit of pink from the bacteria that typically grows in that situation.I have used these for over a year before without them looking too embarrassing.

As that reviewer also notes, the hook holes are not metal-reinforced on this curtain, just reinforced with vinyl ribbing.There is actually another version Ex-Cell makes that does have metal reinforcements, but personally, I don't see why you'd ever need that unless you have little kids that are hanging from the shower curtain with their full weight or something.

I just moved into a new apartment which didn't have a shower curtain. Since I had neat red bricks in my shower area (I live in an older, New York style, red brick building), I needed something that wouldn't take away from the quaintness. This was exactly what I needed and it's lasted.

Only thing you must know is that it doesn't come with the little hooks (which you can easily buy at a Target, Wal-Mart or any other general store).
