We have an aluminum shower rod in a rental.If you have a choice don't get aluminum.The nice bronze hooks we had would not slide over the aluminum and would come unhooked when utching them along.These roller ball curtain rings are definitely the solution !They zip right over the cheep rod and cannot come unhooked.A nice polished rod would have cost a bunch.These roller hooks are inexpensive.Glad to have found them !

I just happened to see these rings I ordered years ago and decided to update my review.
Still working great !Very happy with this product.No problems at all.Still roll along the problem aluminum rod just fine.
