I bought this for my college apartment about 5 years ago. We needed a design that everyone could agree on, so this was a good neutral compromise. It's survived 3 years of undergrad and now 2 years of my own apartment. I always made sure it was completely dry before storing it away for the summer when I was in undergrad, and have never had mildew issues as long as I spread it out after I shower and let it dry.
