The rod has a nice design and is well made overall. The supports against the shower walls are much larger than some of the cheaper tension rods and I think that is why it does not fall down unlike some of the other rods. The only negative is that the chrome finish scratched easily when I put on the shower hooks. I probably could have avoided that by putting on some painters tape first but I think that should not be a necessary step (reason to dock it one star).
this shower rod is fine. It has a gap where the two pieces connect. The chrome finish is nice and it is easy to install.

I'm sure this is a good product.I ended up buying one very much like it in a store.However, when I took mine out of the package the spring was cracked off of the end so I simply returned it.Not the sturdiest rod. The pole is slightly more gray than the flanges. Already has scratches on it. Makes too much noise when opening the shower curtain. Will be returning. I wanted a chrome shower rod, but all the ones I have found look cheap.
