This is easy to install, no hardware necessary.Although from the distance I have it mounted, it looks good, it really is made out of very lightweight cheapo material, so I don't really like it as much as I thought I would.I would have preferred actual metal.

I loved the concept of these curtain rods no hardware or holes in the wall?! Except for the thickness of the molding needs to be taken into consideration. I have the typical molding and the clasp was not flush. Unless you are having it hold up curtains that weigh about the same as tissue paper, it will most likely fall down...a lot. I'm going the traditional route and using screws :)

Ridiculously hard to open packaging. "Finials" are made of what looks like cheap spray painted plastic, which I am aware of even from far away. Sags in the middle of a 40 inch window. Window looked better with hidden tension rod (with my pole pocket curtains). Waste of money; throwing this thing away.

satin nickel = silver plastic. the directions say add curtains then simply twist the rod to fit your window...not so simple. you have to have one side out to even twist the rod enough to make it extendthen you get to jam it into your windowsill and scratch the paint. you think since you had to really jam it in there, it will at least stay upnope. i have reset this rod 5 times in 3 hours and finally gave up. i grabbed the old ugly tension rod this was supposed to replace and used that tension rod to hold this rod in place. that seems to work and you can't see the old tension rodso be it.

the curtains i used i just ordered and the shipping weight was 1.2 lbs. doesn't seem like an unreasonable weight for curtains.

We have a window in our tiled shower and I was looking for a way to cover the window trim without comprimising the tile. Good quality for the price and most importantly this was the solution and it's working great!!!
