TENSION CURTAIN ROD #681/1 - 28" TO 48"

These curtain rods are flimsy.If you adjust them to fit the window, they fall down.If you adjust them so they don't fall, the rod bows.Next time I'll get the flat tension rods.Their construction makes them sturdier.

The rod diameter is less than a dime size, delicate. There is a slid in the metal, not completely enclosed as it appears on web pic, from top to bottom of rod. Not worth more than $2. Unless you have no other way of getting one this size, I would skip this.

I bought this to hang a curtain in a door-less doorway. The curtain was not very light so I was happy to see the rod working. I've had it for almost a year and it still works. It fell down a few times but it was easy to put it back up and tighten up the tension so it wouldn't happen again. For the price I'd say you can't go wrong with this.

Under the valances on my grand-daughters windows I wanted plain cheap cafe rods to hold up sheers. You can't find plain cheap cafe rods online, everybody's selling fancy more expensive rods and elaborate finials, grand and elegant. I found these tension curtain rods, ordered them, and they arrived quickly. I had to explain to brother and son-in-law that nails, hammers or other tools wouldn't be necessary, these are tension rods. It wasn't until s-i-l was actually putting them up that he took my word for it, but then he said they wouldn't fit or go. It was too simple!He did what I said which was to set it right in a space and that was that.They've been perfect!

This review isn't about the curtain rod itself as I never got a chance to actually use it. Instead the review is for Amazon, since the error they made is still in effect and anyone wishing to buy this item may be disappointed, as I was. There's a mistake on the product page, the curtain rod comes in both gold and silver colors. If the gold rod is pictured, the text description reads silver instead of gold, and vice versa. When I ordered the item, I made sure the text description read silver (the one I wanted) even though the gold was pictured I thought it was more likely that Amazon would go by what the text said when shipping the order. When the order was in it's final stages, the text correctly said "silver". Instead, I was sent the gold curtain rod. Understandable mistake, but when I e-mailed customer service and described the error they responded by saying "We're glad you received the correct item." even though I clearly stated I'd received the wrong item, and why would I e-mail them to let them know I'd gotten the correct item? Who does that?

So I try e-mailing Amazon again and while I'm waiting for a reply I try to go through the return process online. On the webpage you're informed that if you receive the wrong color item, you have to request a return instead of a replacement, and then re-order the item. But when you click the 'return' link for the item, you're told it's only available for replacement. Great.

Finally I have to call customer service to get someone to talk to me. I explain everything, and am then told I can wait a week for them to fix the wrong description on the website and then they'll contact me so I can replace it. Two weeks later I haven't heard from Amazon, so I contact them yet again and am finally assured I will get my money back and can return the curtain rod. They did refund my money, but now I have to go to the trouble of returning the rod, which by the way was packed into a ridiculously HUGE box ten times the size of the curtain rod, it's impossible to carry any significant distance (I don't have a car) and as I said if I want to try and re-order the correct item through Amazon (I don't) the product description page is still incorrect. This whole mess took over 3 weeks. Not happy.

Ordered this shower rod wanting a decorative one in a "brass or gold" finish. Exactly what I wanted. Came on time and efficiently shipped just as I've come to expect from Amazon. I checked a few local stores, couldn't find anything I wanted. So I went on Amazon and there it was! I am finding the Amazon "marketplace" the place for many household items. It's also much easier to shop in and a real time saver!

This was just what I was looking for an easy to install, basic shower curtain rod!Arrived quickly, well packaged, I put it up myself in a few minutes with no tools (and I'm not a handy person...); it seems very sturdy and the price was right highly recommend!

I installed this to replace a cheap, though effective, tension rod that I'd had for years because it was starting to look shoddy.I put this one up the evening that it arrived, and it worked fine until the next morning when I hung my towel on it and it came down.I put it back up with just a little more force to hopefully keep it in place and then it broke.The problems were that the end caps did not stick very well to the tile (they tended to slip) and then that the bolt-like mechanism inside the rod that carries the torsion load is made of cheap plastic.I didn't return it because I live in Canada and have to cross the border to ship things back, and it just didn't seem worth the trouble.Bought a nicer looking one at Home Depot, on sale for $30.

I have been using this since July, it is now November and the rod just broke. It lost its tension and when my husband took it down to see what was wrong we saw that the screw inside cracked in half.It's no surprise since the screw is made of plastic! Very disappointed, and amazon won't let me return or replace with a new one because the return window has expired. Do not buy this product!

This is just what we were looking for, for the right price. It's really very simple to install just place and unscrew for longer length until it's secure. Looks excellent and goes with any color scheme so I don't have to worry about changing it out. And for one I can take with me when I move out, it's very strong and sturdy. When we moved in here the shower rod was broken and we simply couldn't wait for the landlord to replace it, so I love knowing this can come with me to the next place, and it was way easier to install than a permanenet one anyhow. I might get more of these as curtain rods, too.

I'm using this in my laundry corner in my garage because its much cheaper than any of the other solutions that I found, easier too. I have it installed at its full length and it is staying put on the wall even when there is a weekend's worth of clean shirts and sweaters hanging on it.

The curtains are nice, very dainty...but they are extremely thin.I bought them for my living room and I have sheer panels hanging that are thicker than these.From the picture it appears to give a semblance of privacy, but this is absolutely false.When they cover the windows it looks EXACTLY like nothing is hanging.You can see VERY distinctly everything outside.So this would only be suitable for a room where you don't care who can look in and pretty much take a picture of what you're doing inside.

I gave them one star, because I think for curtains they are impractical.Panels is a more apt description.However, they are very well made, and the material is nice, but they are wayyy too sheer to be called curtains.

The curtain with attached valance looks very nice,seems to be good quality.fits our living room window quite nicely. Would recommend to Friends.

I bought this at another sourcenot CSN.The shower rod looks like a lower cost rod. It slips out of place if you push too hard on the shower curtain as the end caps are wobbly and made of silver coated plastic. What made me unhappy is that the pads on the cheap end caps mar the paint on my bathroom walls (because the cushion pads within the caps are thin and hard).

The product itself is a quality pruduct, and were exactly as described. The packing, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. I ordered two of these and they came in two seperate packages. These could have been packed together. One of the packages was in a triangular box which could have contained both tubes. The other was in a square carton that got bent in the center causing the tube inside to be bent slightly. Since I was cutting them both into two pieces, I simply threw out the bent portion in the center and used the two ends for my project. This company needs to review their shipping to save on cost and get the product to the customer in good condition.

This is the type of shower rod I'm looking for, strong and good looking. Tried several other types (adjustable tention rods) and they don't work, always fall down. Mine walls are a little bit wider than standard, this product just gives enough to hold when the screws on the sides are fully extended, never had a curtain fall again, perfect!

I searched for a simple chrome shower curtain rod and was pleased to find it at Amazon. Once measured, cut and attached to the two end pieces it was mounted in the shower and is an elegent stylish, clean addition to the bathroom. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it highly. The price was terrific.

After an extensive (and highly frustrating) search throughout Target and Bed Bath and Beyond, I finally decided to just wait and get well-reviewed curtains from Amazon. It was well worth the wait. I have two sets of these in my bedroom in grey. They look greatfeels and looks almost like silk and are a lighter grey/blue color during the day and darker at night. They even come with tiebacks which you don't really need because the curtains are heavy enough by themselves they can stay open on their own. The best part is they actually do block out a lot of light and heat. There used to be a street lamp that shone right into my room at night and that light is completely blocked out by the curtains. I'm also able to sleep past 6 AM now since the curtains block out the morning light (my room faces east and south). It also stays cool and dark in my room when I draw the blinds during the hot day. Would highly recommend these.

These curtains are the real deal as far as blocking out light is concerned. I placed them in a sleeping room that gets afternoon sun and the difference was remarkable. You can see the sunlight barely silhouetted through them.

The grommet tops are nice quality and easily fit over my 1" curtain rod with room to spare. I bought the olive color and am pleased with it. I would say it is close to a OD green color leaning towards the darker end of that shade. Same color on both sides by the way. I need to either wash them or steam them to get the packaged wrinkles out.

Only thing I would change is perhaps offer more colors or some non solids. The tiebacks are same color as the curtain with white loop/cords if anyone was wondering.

If this product had been made properly I would have given it 5 stars.The design is wonderful, and the fabric is heavy and has a quality feel, but it's 1.5 inches shorter on one end than the other.My curtain rod is perfectly level, and yet this thing hangs way off the floor on one end and almost touches on the other it looks terrible.I don't know if it came out of the package this way, or if it's the result of washing it according to the instructions.I assumed it was fine when I took it out of its packaging, so I immediately washed it to eliminate the factory smell (normal stuff) and remove the packing creases. When I hung it up, I realized there was a problem, but it's too late now to return it. This curtain was either manufactured poorly, or it didn't like being washed. This $45 curtain doesn't look as good as the $15.00 Croscill fabric liner that I purchased at the same time ... it hangs perfectly.

Looks better in the photo. Flimsy. Cheap. Nothing to it. It looks way better in the photos. I am disappointed.

I have been using this curtain for a year and a half now, and I still love it. It is cute and I get a lot of comments on it from guests. It is subtly funny, and they usually don't realize it is the titanic/a sinking ship until taking a second look.

Like any plastic shower curtain, it smelled like awful plastic when we first started using it. In my experience, that can't really be avoided with this particular material so it doesn't bother me. The smell dissipates in about a week or so.

This curtain looks the same as it did when I first bought it. I am a happy consumer. :)

This shower curtain works great and looks refreshing. The color blue is soothing and the solids are calming. At first it smelled a bit plasticky, but after hanging for a few days it's totally fine.

These curtain ties are the most beautiful ties I've ever seen. They are so elegant and classy. The butterflies are such a beautiful blue with gems on the wings. I bought these for our new home to go in my 7 year olds room. They are very beautiful. They have two ribbons on the side and one ribbon on the top to make sure they go on straight. I bought all 4 colors, blue, pink, green, and orange. They are kind of pricey at $5 each but too me it was worth it. I definitely recommend them to someone who enjoys butterflies.
